The Goldshtein Lab is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities, including visitors using assistive technology. We are continually working to improve the usability of this website for everyone, in line with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and applicable New York State and New York City accessibility requirements for websites.
This website is designed with the goal of conforming to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the technical standard most commonly referenced by U.S. federal, New York State, and New York City accessibility requirements. Conformance status is an ongoing effort rather than a one-time achievement, and we periodically review the site to identify and correct issues.
This website includes an accessibility toolbar, available from the icon in the bottom-right corner of every page, that lets visitors adjust: text size, a high-contrast display mode, underlined links, and a simplified, easy-to-read font. Preferences are remembered as you move between pages.
In addition, the site is built with semantic HTML headings and landmarks, descriptive alternative text for images, and a navigation menu that can be operated by keyboard alone.
As with many academic websites, some linked content, such as PDFs or articles hosted by academic journals and publishers, is controlled by third parties and may not fully meet the same accessibility standards. We are not able to modify that external content directly, but we aim to link to the most accessible version available.
